Visvim are releasing a brand new line this year; Folk series.

Honeyee have made an interesting interview with Visvim founder Hiroki Nakamura. Recommended reading if you like Visvim, or the idea of focusing on a great product, in preference to branding and the marketing game.

We haven't got any info regarding the Folk series beyond what you can read in the interview, and we don't know if the line will be available in Europe. Visvim are restructering their business, and the collection known as G-Line (Global Line, up until now available only in the US), will be available in Europe for the next season. The original Visvim line, will from now be available only in Japan (as far as we know). The good thing is that more stores will get the chance to sell the clothes from G-Line, and in addition, the look of the G-Line will be closer to that of the original Visvim line.

We have received a two new styles from Visvim this month, the Decoy Duck Boot Hi and Kiefer-Hi Nez Perce ／Nome.

Comme des Garçons is definite one of our favourite brands. Comme des Garçons has got a number of different collections, and Secret Society is stocking Comme des Garçons Accessories and Junya Watanabe Comme des Garçons Man. The Junya Watanabe Man collection, is recognized for doing co-operations with quality brands of different kinds, and one of those are Moncler.

We have just received two styles from the AW07-08 collection, and they look stunning. These styles are not included in the regular Moncler collection, and can not be bought at your regular Moncler retailer. The coated rubber-ish finish of these jackets are amazing.

Martin Margiela

Martin Margiela is not synonymous with deconstructed understatement, but he is not far from it either. Born in Belgium in 1957, Martin took his design classes at Antwerp's Royal Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 1980. He was one of the six original members of the legendary Antwerp's Six (Dries Van Noten, Dirk Bikkembergs, Dirk Van Saene, Ann Demeulemeester and Walter Van Beirendonck), but soon left them in favour of Jean Paul Gaultier.

In 1988, Margiela presented his first collection under his own label, and today, Maison Martin Margiela counts 8 different collections (women's, men's, accessories and shoes) . The collections are differentiated by numbers, and the labels on the garments are basically the same for all collections, except for a circle around the relevant collection number. Moreover, the labels are fastened with the typical four visible white stitches in the neck.


Martin Margiela's concept stores are called Maison Martin Margiela, and are situated around the globe, in cities as Paris, Brussels, Tokyo, New York, Taipei, Seoul and Hong Kong. The stores have a very inconsistent look, and the only consistency seems to be the color (!) white.
